Dreaming of Books Giveaway Hop

Some decisions have unimaginable consequences.

Every time someone makes a choice, a new parallel world is spun off the existing one. Eating breakfast or skipping it, sneaking out instead of staying in bed—every decision creates an alternate universe in which an Echo self takes the road not travelled. As a Walker who can navigate between these realities, Del is training to help keep the dimensions in harmony.

When Del secretly starts to investigate other dissonant worlds, she get tangled up with an Echo of her longtime crush. She knows she shouldn't keep seeing him. But as Del persists, she uncovers a truth that the Council of Walkers is trying to hide—a secret that threatens the entire multiverse.

  2. Fairy tales are some of the earliest stories we're exposed to, so my guess would be that they have some influence on us at very deep levels. Some of us will always be searching for our Prince/Princess Charming as we wade through the ogres, trolls and other disagreeable types we find ourselves surrounded by. Hopefully we all get our happily ever after.

  3. Yes, but there are no Prince Charmings :)

  4. Sometimes, although we have to keep it real and simply search for a happy ending. Not for the dreamy perfect man you have imagined by reading/watching fairy tale stories.

  5. No, I do not think so. I don't think it would help the marriage.

  6. Yes. That is why I didn't choose the first handsome man who came along and wanted a Disney princess to fulfill his life. I'm not some silly Disney princess.

  7. it could be the basis of our choices, but as we all grow, some factors could lead to our ultimate choice.....

  8. Yes, fairy tales do have some influence in choosing my significant other.

  9. Maybe, a little bit. Thanks for the giveaway! (Valentina -on the raffle)

  10. No. Sure I'd love to find a "Prince Charming", but I'm a realist, I know that isn't real life.

  11. Hmm... I've always been against love at first site and relate more to the heroine not looking for a prince charming. He has to work for it :)

  12. I think so as a child we are brainwashed to believe in the Prince Charmings of the world etc.

  14. Yes, I think fairy tales do influence how we see love. At least, what we consider to be Prince Charming.

  15. I think that depends. If all someone has growing up is fairytales then probably, but I think that it is more the things we hear and are taught to us. If you are told from the time you are a child that the best partner is the one who makes you want to be a better you that is what you'll want most likely. Although being told to choose something can backfire also since (going by myself here) some of us do the opposite of what people tell us we have to on certain things. I guess it's a toss up. It will influence you if you want it to I guess.

  16. I think it depends on the person. Some people belive there is a perfect Prince Charming but soon realize real life doesn't work like the stories.

  17. I believe fairytales make us believe that romance is more important than it actually is. Love isn't everything, but it is in most fairytales.

  18. I think so because we begin to imagine our own fairy tale and sometimes our expectations are too high

  19. I think it depends on the person. I love fairy tales but I don't think they would influence my choice.

  20. Not really, unless you're very much into them.

  21. Hmm, I can't say I've ever considered the question before. I think stories of romance and looking for the perfect prince/princess can strongly influence a person, particularly when they're younger.

    ReplyDelete
  22. No I don't really think so. Fairytales may color our vision of the ideal partner, but it isn't really realistic.

  23. I do think so. I've spent my whole life looking for someone who can live up to my dream Knight's sense of Honor. I've been sorely disappointed at every turn.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not really but maybe a little for the younger ones but for most, like me, no.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well...maybe. Not any particular fairy tale perhaps (there are only so many princes to go round - and not all of us are princess material), but I expect they do make an impression on us and can affect our expectations.

  26. For me it didn't. Maybe for our first dates when we are young but once things are serious it is all for a real match.

  27. (Alisha Sienkiel in rafflecopter)

No I really don't think so.

  28. I don't think fairy tales influence our choice in partners.

  29. I think that fairy tales influence some people, but not most. Thanks!

  30. I don't think so much for me, being over 30, but I absolutely believe that it can influence teens. And maybe if I wasn't happily married, even over 30, it may have some bearing on my hopes.
