I so enjoyed reading...What a fun interview to read! I so enjoyed reading his answers to your questions, Jean. I, too, am a child of the 80s, growing from 5 to 15 in the decade, and he's spot on about it being a great decade in which to grow up! Everything he said is so true, and it's just SO different these days. I say that even as a parent in "these days" too! I'm not a helicopter parent at all (uh, I HOPE), but still I cannot envision letting my son go outside and play by himself for as long as we used to....or, you know, AT ALL! I think it must be so much harder to be a kid these days, even as they are lucky to grow up learning loads more than we did at the same age, having access to technologies we didn't even dream of having, being exposed to such diversity (in all its forms) and having access to global information and ideas at the snap of their fingers. It's amazing, but...honestly, I wouldn't trade my foundational decade for theirs any day. Just don't tell my son ;) Thanks for having John on your site, Jean - and thanks to John for visiting, if he's listening! His wife and kids are a lucky crew :)Holly Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13281574165037823036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4293282810260463169.post-87461438724068284642013-07-12T14:16:51.071-07:002013-07-12T14:16:51.071-07:00Gotta love superheroes ^^
