Lauren Kate grew up in Dallas, went to school in Atlanta, and started writing in New York. She is the author of Fallen, Torment, the forthcoming Passion, and The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove. Her books have been translated into over thirty languages. She lives in Laurel Canyon with her husband and hopes to work in a restaurant kitchen and learn how to surf. She is currently at work on the final book in the Fallen series,Rapture.

However, a conclusion to a story also means saying goodbye to these unforgettable characters. It was a very exciting journey to its finale, but also a sad one at the same time.

The relationship between Luce and Daniel is simply one for the ages. They both have ceaseless dedication towards one another and truly are perfect for each other. Rapture gave readers clues to the truth behind their love’s establishment. The way Daniel feels about Luce and how she is one amazing girl is evident to how she was more extraordinary than she thought she was. Learning about their foundation solidifies that they are truly meant for each other.

Lauren’s writing continues to shine brightly in Rapture. Readers who have affixed themselves to the other three books have a sense of how Luce and Daniel’s love came to be. However, the writing mastery of Lauren displayed a conclusion to an epic story that allows readers to have an inclusive experience. The words that fill the pages will place readers beside these wonderful characters and become part of the fight in averting the second Fall.

Rapture is a perfect ending to the Fallen series. The journey readers have taken since Fallen will come to a fulfilling finish. Although it was saddening, the finish to Luce and Daniel’s story is totally fitting. All of the pieces that were uncovered throughout their grand ride come together and deliver a very touching ending. The last line is simply beautiful that I will always remember it. I merely want the story to keep going but like what they say, all good things come to an end. But it wasn’t just good, it was great!
