Inaugural Mammoth Film Festival Winners



INAUGURAL MAMMOTH FILM FESTIVAL WINNERS

The inaugural Mammoth Film Festival commenced on February 8, 2018. For the course of four days, the all media festival took over the skiing town of Mammoth Lakes, CA and transformed it into a retreat for those who love, create and enjoy film. Presenting 105 short films and 15 feature films, there were a variety of films for everyone to enjoy. The winners of the Mammoth Film Summit Awards and the Mammoth Film Festival Awards were awarded with magnificent handcrafted trophies.

Attendees saluting it the largest first-time film festival, the Mammoth Film Festival Team concluded the weekend with an Awards Ceremony at the Canyon Lodge. The Jennifer Morrison directed feature film, SUN DOGS, received the top honors for Best Picture along with Achievement in Filmmaking (Michael Angarano) and the Grand Jury Award. Netflix has recently acquired the film.

The Best Actress award went to Sophie Turner for her remarkable work in the feature film JOSIE and Paddy Quinn went home with Best Actor award for HIGH LOW FORTY. Best Documentary award was presented to the Tim Newfang directed documentary chronicling BONE Thugs N Harmony’s Krayzie Bone and Bizzy Bone.
