BEING GOOD ― JENNY HARDER 
BEING GOOD is about identity and understanding the concepts of right and wrong. It's not only a short film, but also a proof of concept for a full feature film.

Our story is about a teenage girl named Embry and her two guardians, the angel Ava and the demon Mal who act as her conscience.

While Ava and Mal could easily be considered as “good” and “evil”, the film develops the idea of their humanity and flaws. We often have prefabricated views based on our upbringing and our aim is to challenge and question those preconceptions.

Gabriel takes Trevor, a homophobic man who contracted AIDS from his hemophilia medication, into his care and helps Trevor make peace with his illness by guiding him on a psychedelic journey that brings both men face-to-face with the virus.

She did so despite resistance, having been told that only a man could accomplish such a feat. Substance Over Hype, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and Marriott Content Studio set out to create a tone poem that would inspire exploration, contemplation, and joy.

It's bittersweet because she doesn't end up finding what she wants, but makes a very intimate connection with her overweight neighbor, a man she would never consider dating.
