What’s one thing that readers would be surprised to find out about you?
I don't know if readers would be surprised by this, but I'm just a regular person. Very down to earth and real.
When did you write your first book and how old were you?
I published my first book in 2014 and wrote it for more then a year prior.
What was the greatest thing you learned at school?
I loved high school and was very involved in choir and band. The greatest thing I learned was to work with others.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
A good person.
In your new book; NICKERBACHER, can you tell my Book Nerd Kids Community a little about it and why they should read your novel?
Nickerbacher is a positive, uplifting book. It's about acceptance and being okay with being yourself. People should read it to be inspired.
If you could introduce one of your characters to any character from another book, who would it be and why?
Princess Gwendolyn to meet Sleeping Beauty so they can get to know each other. Gwendolyn reads Sleeping Beauty in the book. She and Nickerbacher don't quite understand that Fairy Tale.
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Maybe not a writer, but a major story teller that I would consider a mentor was Walt Disney.
Did you learn anything from writing NICKERBACHER and what was it?
I learned to be a better story teller. I reinvented Nickerbacher from the successful Picture Book version - Nickerbacher, The Funniest Dragon. I needed to be open as I expanded it to a early chapter edition.
You have the chance to give one piece of advice to your readers. What would it be?
Follow your heart.
What's the most memorable summer job you've ever had?
Being a performer in the Electrical Parade at Disneyland.
What decade during the last century would you have chosen to be a kid?
1950's

What is your greatest adventure?
Touring Europe with my High School Choir.
When was the last time you told someone you loved them?
My dog today.
Who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
I don't usually talk about bad things with people.
When was the last time you cried?
What's the most memorable summer job you've ever had?
A more recent summer job I loved was choreographing for a repertory company. I loved theater so much that I totally enjoyed the 12 hour days.

This book was really funny! I loved it a lot! I really loved Nickerbacher and Princess Gwendolyn. Nickerbacher was really funny. I loved Nickerbacher's jokes. It was really funny. I am glad that he did good at the joke show. He also was making friends after every joke show. He was really surprised. I really loved this book a lot. Thank you Terry John Barto for making this book.
