Guest Post with A.V. Geiger

A.V. Geiger is an epidemiologist who spends far too much spare time on social media. By day, she studies women’s psychiatric and reproductive health. By night, she can be found fangirling, following people back, and photoshopping the heads of band members onto the bodies of unicorns. Her writing career began with celebrity fan fiction, and her work draws extensively on her own experiences with online fan culture. Her original teen fiction has received millions of hits on the story-sharing website Wattpad, ranking as high as #1 in the mystery-thriller genre. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and twin boys.

TEN THINGS I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARS IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME.
  • Talk more. I bet a lot of people thought I was being aloof, but I was actually afraid to talk to them!
  • Go to parties more. Maybe I would've been invited if I followed number 1?
  • Quit soccer. I played varsity and stuck with it long after I stopped enjoying the game because I was afraid to let my teammates down. They would've been fine without me, and I would've been much happier!
  • Read for pleasure more. I thought I didn't have enough time back then? You should see me now, trying to juggle work, writing, and kids.
  • Tell the boy I liked how I felt about him. Chance are he would've shot me down, but now I'll never know.
  • Don't get that ridiculous updo hairstyle for prom. Ugh that was honestly the ugliest my hair has ever looked. I still cry 😭
  • Try out for the school play. I always fantasized about it, but never quite had the nerve.
  • Eat pizza everyday. I became lactose intolerant in my 20s, and real mozzarella cheese is the thing I miss the most!
  • Defy my parents. Would you believe I wasn't allowed to watch MTV as a teenager? I missed out on so much! And yet I grew up to write novels about pop stars and celebrity culture. Some rules were made to be broken.
  • Realize that all the things that seemed monumentally important back then would eventually fade into a distant memory. Life is full of plot twists, so don't take everything too seriously!

Love. Obsession. Jealousy. Murder.

No one knows what happened to pop icon Eric Thorn. His Twitter account? Frozen. His cell phone? Cracked and bloody, buried in the snow.

Agoraphobic fangirl Tessa Hart knows the truth, but she's finally left her #EricThornObsessed days behind. She has no intention of ever touching her Twitter app again. But Snapchat... That's safer, right?

After months of living under the radar, Tessa emerges from hiding, forced to face the deadly consequences of her past. But in the interrogation room, answers only lead to more questions in the pulse-pounding conclusion to the Follow Me Back duology.

  7. Having my first kids which are twins changed me and made me always feel like I was a parent. It's funny when people complain about they can't do anything with their single kid, whereas, I had to make sure someone was on the other end to meet me and help out with the twins.
