SDCC - Danielle Burgess Interview

Danielle Burgess is an actress, model, and multidisciplinary artist, hailing from Texas, who splits her time between Los Angeles and New York City.

As an actress, Danielle comes from a stage background, and also studied Meisner while in Texas. She has had the joy of working closely with renowned acting coach Susan Batson, as well as Elizabeth Kemp, Bob Krakower, Anthony Meindl, Fay Simpson, and Terry Schreiber. She has trained vocally in musical theatre and opera, jazz, and pop styles-- Karen Nimereala her vocal coach and mentor. She is a trained dancer in classical ballet, pointe, character, theatre, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, heels, and street styles.

Danielle has been working as a model for years in editorial, commercial, fashion, beauty, and art photography. And is now experimenting with photography herself.

MOTEL
When her distressed younger sister isolates herself in a secluded motel, Caitlin takes it upon herself to do an intervention. But as day turns to night and her sister's paranoia takes hold, the world she describes to Caitlin begins to seem almost plausible.

SAINT PAUL
Mason is a seventeen-year-old boy living in a poor community in the suburbs outside of Los Angeles. With rising violence and unemployment, he stands at the periphery of an incredibly unpredictable life. However, when a domestic dispute with his unemployed father turns violent, his destiny is sealed. Mason is set on a path towards committing an act of reality shattering violence. Saint Paul is a film which seeks to put a human face on an inhuman act. To show the emotional logic of a would be white supremacist, in a fair and mature way, and foster a spirit of communication in a divided America.

ABOUT DANIELLE BURGESS
Danielle Burgess was born in New Braunfels, Texas to a baseball pitcher turned salesman, and a model turned CPA. She grew up between Texas and Oklahoma. Danielle attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in European Studies and English Literature with a focus in creative writing, and minored in French.

She is best known for her work in USA Network's Golden Globe nominated show 'The Sinner'. She also appeared in HBO's 'The Deuce', 'The Blacklist', and 'Law & Order: SVU'.

In her spare time, Danielle studies voice and music, and dance. She writes poetry and short fiction, and is an avid reader.

She splits her time between Los Angeles and New York City.
