TEN FICTIONAL WORLDS YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT, AND WHY.
  • 1. Animal Farm. Because somebody needs to finish the windmill.
  • 2. Twin Peaks. It’s where pies go to die.
  • 3. Cybertron. To broker the peace.
  • 4. The House of Darrow, before things went off the rails. I love those characters, and what they’d originally set out to accomplish.
  • 5. Bedford Falls. Because no person is a failure who has friends.
  • 6. Mar-A-Lago. That place has to be fictional, right?
  • 7. The 4077. Because everyone would benefit from a sit down with Sidney Freedman.
  • 8. Howliday Inn. Because a part of me will always be 7.
  • 9. SuperMario 64. How fun would it be to run around that place? And they give out gold coins like they’re going out of style.
  • 10. Risa, the pleasure planet. See #7.
Honorable Mention: Oz, Hogwarts, Hyrule, any world where Bernie Sanders is in charge (fictional status pending).

ARE THERE AUTHORS THAT YOU'RE EXCITED TO ENGAGE/WORK WITH?
I would really love to collaborate with Neil Gaiman on something. I respect the hell out of him because he has never allowed himself to be pigeonholed into any one literary category, or even any one specific medium. I respect that creativity of both form and content, and I urge all writers to embrace whatever you are inspired to write in the moment, even if it doesn’t fit neatly into any particularly category (yes, even if that makes it more difficult to sell the work, or for the author to be marketed).

I also admire Neil's position on social issues, and that he is not worried to speak his mind even if it costs him a few sales or fans. Your Amazon ranking should never impact on your integrity. Ditto for JK Rowling. My respect floweth over.

THE INTROVERT CONFOUNDS INNOCENCE continues the story of the eponymous anti-hero introduced in THE INTROVERT.

With his life disrupted by an unscrupulous work colleague and a bully at his son Toby’s school, things go from bad to worse when his neighbor’s abusive boyfriend goes missing, plunging the introvert into the center of a murder investigation.

Increasingly hounded by a meddlesome detective, and with his thoughts continually urging him to make people “red and open” and to “achieve it” with his girlfriend Donna, what follows is a sometimes brutal, oftentimes hilarious, and absurdist account of the life of one very anti-social and unexpected anti-hero.
