Tell us your latest news.
Molly: Hunted releases this month (11/17). It’s the first in the trilogy. Look out for Allied and Fated sometime in 2021.

Sarah: I am wrapping up a Christian cozy mystery series this month (Reverend Margot Quade with book 6, Brothers in Arms on 11/6) and wrapping up my Seasons of Magic series in December (12/18). Molly and I will be concluding our Celestial Academy series in January 2021 (1/22)

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
Molly: Hitting the USA Today Bestseller list with the lovely, talented authors of Fated Mates anthology in June 2019. That story (Captivity) started our co-writing journey too.

Sarah: I agree, hitting the USA Today Best seller list with the Fated Mates crew. That was a lot of work (while I was also growing a small human) and it was so rewarding to see all of our efforts come to fruition.

What do you hope for readers to be thinking when they read your novel?
Molly: I hope they connect with the characters, situations, and worlds as much as we do.
Sarah: I hope they enjoy the unique spin on vampire lore and that they connect with the message of the story.

In your new book; HUNTED, can you tell my Book Nerd community a little about it.
Molly: HUNTED is an alt-history vampire paranormal where a vampire (Edith) and vampire hunter (Darren) team up to save his brother from a Live Action Role Play with deadly consequences. As they grow closer, they realize both monsters and men are capable of love.

What part of Edith and Darren did you enjoy writing the most?
Molly: For Edith, I enjoyed that, no matter how much time has passed, she holds on to that turn of the century, Edwardian morals and manners that she was raised with. She’s very proper and a little out of place in the modern world.

Sarah: Most of my main characters tend to be female so I enjoyed the chance to write a male character. It usually only happens when I co-write. I liked that he may be motivated by tragedy but he’s capable of seeing that you can’t paint people of a certain community with borad storkes.

What is one unique thing are you afraid of?
Molly: Fear of falling. I don’t have a fear of heights, but I do have a fear of falling off of those heights.

TEN FAVORITE GUY CHARACTERS FROM YOUR BOOKS, INCLUDING RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THEM.
(in no particular order – grouped by series/novel)
  • 1. Darren – (Hunted series) – disarming smile, not your typical romantic lead, yells at people to “get in the damn van” a lot.
  • 2. Desmond – (Seasons of Magic series) – His cousin is the savior of the magical world, won’t willingly admit he’s got a bit of a inferiority complex about that savior cousin of his, “cop shrink”, all around good guy who doesn’t deserve the hand Magic Boston dealt him.
  • 3. JT – (Seasons of Magic series) – magical healer, EMT, has the patience of a saint when it comes to holding out hope for a reunion with his first love
  • 4. Johnathon – (Seasons of Magic series) – hunchback who uses a glamour to hide deformity, bit of a shady past, bar owner who is not happy to constantly have the police interrupting his night
  • 5. Douglas – (Captivity series) – speaks Scotch Gaelic, kelpie, former government informant
  • 6. Xander – (Captivity series) – former thief/grifter, hides the fact he’s a phoenix with hair dye and makeup, unabashed about his sexuality
  • 7. Aiden – (Captivity series) – Has no memory of his past after rising from the ashes, talks a really good talk, wants freedom for all shifters.
  • 8. Corin – (Operation Boyfriend) – quirky, awkward yet sincere. Not your typical book boyfriend.
  • 9. Damien – (Celestial Academy series) – son of the Angel of Death, attends Reaper Academy, loaded up with tattoos.
  • 10. Chris – (Celestial Academy series) – descendant of Saint Christopher, kind of a douche but Miry doesn’t see it, not a Zuri fan.
MEET THE CHARACTERS
Edith – Vampire. Dark, brown-black hair, pale skin, looks extremely young despite technically being 122 years old. Grew up in the early 1900s. Held on to the speech patterns, values, and fashion of the day.

Darren – Hides the scars of his time as a Vampire Hunter well. Dark brown hair, can kill you with a pen (literally), loves his brother and would do anything to protect him after the death of their parents

On the hundredth anniversary of being turned into a vampire, Edith joins her adopted daughters and their friends at the Heartsong Clan's annual "vampires vs humans" LARP recruitment event where she meets an eager Dan Paxton. Dan's older brother and vampire hunter, Darren, thinks he is merely chaperoning a trip to a nerd convention, but when Darren discovers Dan missing, he follows the only lead he has to the Heartsong Clan's residence on Tombstone Row. He's determined to keep his Hunter instincts in check, rescue his brother, and make a clean escape. When an impromptu late-night encounter leads Darren and Edith to be honest with each other about who and what each of them are, Edith longs to keep Darren and his brother close, even though it goes against Clan rules. The two start to grow closer as they seek out the truth from Edith's Sire, Mr. Heartsong, and soon Darren is finding it harder than he thought to snuff out Edith and her family.
