FIVE REASONS I LOVE WRITING HOLIDAY ROMANCE
1. I love to create complex characters set against the backdrop of a quirky town decked out in all its holiday finery.
2. It’s an excuse to re-watch some of my favorite holiday movies (The Holiday, Love Actually) for a dose of extra inspiration.
3. We all have holiday traditions, and I appreciate getting to know those of my friends and family to add to a story for that personal touch.
4. The soundtrack of a book – holiday edition – is always the best and a perfect excuse to listen to holiday music long past the new year.
5. Most of my deadlines for holiday romance releases fall in midwinter so I’m actually hunkered down in my office, and on gray days I turn on my little ceramic Christmas tree (vintage from the 70s), light a festive candle and transport myself into holiday heaven.

FIVE REASONS I LOVE READING HOLIDAY ROMANCE
1. They make you feel cozy and relaxed in a season that’s filled with not enough relaxation!
2. Is there any better way to avoid the stress of the holidays than curled up with a cup of hot chocolate (or egg nog) and a great book?
3. Holidays somehow make the romance sweeter, plus you can imagine your favorite movie actor as that perfect hero.
4. Holiday romances typically feature some of my favorite tropes – second chances, enemies-to-lovers, single parent and pretend relationships. I can’t get enough!
5. As much as I love a good Hallmark movie, I love books even more because I can disappear into a sweet story and imagine the adorable town and characters just how I want them to be.

Spend the holidays in Magnolia, North Carolina, where two lonely hearts find exactly what they need for Christmas.

Anji Guilardi needs a man for Christmas—at least, according to her mother. What she really needs is to grow her fledgling catering business. Partnering with Magnolia’s Wildflower Inn holds promise, but when her mother falls ill, Anji’s drawn back to the responsibility of the family restaurant. Balancing work and her eight-year-old son, she has no time for romance…until Anji runs into Gabriel Carlyle.

Temporarily helping at his grandmother’s flower shop, Gabriel doesn't plan to stick around, especially after he bumps into Anji, one of his childhood bullies. Sure, she’s all grown up and gorgeous now, and when they find themselves under the mistletoe, their chemistry is undeniable. But it’ll take more than a Christmas miracle for Anji to break through the defenses of Gabriel’s well-guarded heart and find a love built to last.
