What are some of your current and future projects that you can share with us?
I just finished writing a story called The Heartbreakers. The book is about a famous boy band, and it’s a spin off story to my Walter Boys series. I will be starting the sequel called The Queen of Hearts within the next few weeks.
What's the most memorable summer job you've ever had?
During college I worked at a country club as a cart girl on a golf course. Between selling a few beers, I spent most of my time lounging in the sun and writing books. It was the perfect summer job.
Who was your first boyfriend?
My first boyfriend is named Jared and he is now my fiancĂ©. I had the hugest crush on him in 7th grade and he finally asked me to be his girlfriend freshman year of high school. We’re getting married this October.
Tell me about your first kiss.
Jared is going to kill me for sharing this, but I remember our first kiss because it was a bit messy. Jared has a movie theater in his basement with these really big armchairs. We had squeezed into one to watch the 2005 King Kong remake, and I remember feeling him turn to me. Even though I had known what was coming, our kiss was sloppy because we were just kids and had no clue what we were doing. Years later I found out that Jared’s mom made him kiss an apple for practice. Didn’t do him much good, but he’s improved since then! J
What would be harder for you, to tell someone you love them or that you do not love them back?
You know when you watch a TV show and one of the characters doesn’t know how to end things with their boyfriend or girlfriend because they don’t want to hurt their feelings? And instead of being honest they do everything they possible can to annoy their significant other into dumping them? Yeah, that would probably be me. I HATE hurting others feelings. My point is that I would much rather tell someone I loved them. Saying “I love you” is beautiful. Telling someone you don’t love them is tragic.
When was the last time you cried?
Today. I was watching The Lion King. That movie gets me every single time.
What decade during the last century would you have chosen to be a teenager?
I LOVE the 20’s. I don’t know if it would be a good decade to grow up in, but it’s the time period in American history that fascinates me the most.
